"Building Educational Opportunities in Sierra Leone"

Climbing Mountains

Saturday 19th May marked the first Schools of Sinkunia UK Branch fundraiser! A group of 9 friends (Ciara MacFarland, Dionne Widgery, Adam Ashworth, Craig Ellison, Christine Williams, Heather McCullagh, Elliott Lewis, Emma Lewis and Peter Blanchard) hiked up Mount Ben Nevis (Fort William, Scotland) in aid of raising money for SOS’s School’s Lunch Programme. The photos on this page highlight the beautiful views experienced during the hike, and it will always be a memory that none of us will forget. The total sponsorship raised is yet to be fully calculated, however once the amount is confirmed we will publish this on the website. We will also post on the website how this sponsorship has helped to develop the charity. I would like to thank all those who took part in this adventure, as the hike itself took an enormous about of energy and determination. We would also like to thank all those who supported and sponsored us. Without your support Schools of Sinkunia could not carry out the amazing work that touches so many people’s lives.

We look forward to continuing our fundraising work, and encourage others to lead future events in order to support the children and families of Sinkunia, Sierra Leone.
